All My Sons
By Arthur Miller
Directed and produced by: Peter Burton
Production Date: May 2011
How far would you go to protect your family? When Ann Deever comes to visit the Kellers there’s no hint of the intrigue which follows, but as the layers of this story unfold, there are glimpses of a dark past amongst the family’s good neighbourly nature. Larry, the Keller’s missing son, was Ann’s boyfriend, but it’s now their remaining son, Chris, who wants to marry her. Mother can’t allow this to go ahead; it would be like admitting that Larry is dead. Or is there something much worse that the Kellers are hiding? Set in 1940s post-war America, Arthur Miller’s superb story of war crime, love, and human flaws explodes the very nature of the American Dream. Simply, this is one of the best plays by the best American playwright of all time. It will make us laugh, cry and, above all, question your own family values.
